I know, I know. I am always changing crap around. I do this for practicing purposes to make sure technology doesn’t leave me in the dust!. This site is now running on a Debian Etch 4.0 vm hosted on vmware server. Openvz was nice, but I needed to practice with IIS to brush up on my windows skills **chills** for work. This is gunna be how the server is going to be setup for a while unless disaster strikes. I am not worried about this though because I have multiple backup sites and a redundant mirror if something goes really awry. The most important thing to me was getting linuxhelpresource.com back up and running for those of you who use it. I will be adding a lighttpd how too soon. – Dustin

Heh, I was looking online today and was reading about battlebots, and I stumbled upon this interesting piece of General Electric history. In the late 1960’s GE was working on a cool exoskeleton to allow people to be able to pick up thousands of pounds with ease. (Why cant we make cool futuristic exoskeletons???) I will be setting up a Mediawiki in the next few days that will have some of the fixes featured on www.linuxhelpresource.com as well as some links to help sites and other goodies. I hope to have this up next weekend. I have already setup the vhost for it and the link will be http://wiki.larmeir.com . It will also have some good openvz info on it when completed, and once I build my first vz template it will be hosted there. I have some good ideas for some custom openvz distro templates I want to create. Oh, well…. I need to go to bed

I have been needing to learn some PHP for a while. I have gotten some training videos and I am actively watching and learning them. I am also learning some css so I may be changing the site a little soon. Hopefully I wont destroy it too much ( hehe that’s what backups are for ) You may see some php scripts creeping their way into this site over time. – Dustin

While I was in San Antonio on vacation last summer, I had to make a stop by Louis Tussuad’s Palace of wax and the local Ripley’s believe it or not. I happened to be in the horror area of the wax museum, and look up and saw the Predator. I love this picture. I just happen to find it today going through my pictures on my pc.

My Debian install is using 9mb of memory with lighttpd installed as shown below. I use this setup with my LinuxHelpResource.com site. I am very happy with Debian, so happy I am going to write about apt package managment and how it is used!

Trent Reznor has released a series of songs in a album called Ghosts I-IV. I must say these are some awesome, high quality tracks and they are free of vocal, and very chilled and laid back tracks. They almost border on trance music. This album is freely downloadable on http://www.nin.com/ &
